About the Princess Collection

Rooted in a celebration of femininity, strength, and quiet poise, the Princess Collection reinterprets classical motifs through a contemporary lens. The collection comprises five key artisanal pieces — three batik pareos and two batik sarong skirts — marking a softer and more intimate direction for the brand as Kapten Batik launches its first limited-edition womenswear batik collection, where heritage meets modern grace.

The Designs: Dragon in Clouds & Botanika

Each design draws subtle inspiration from elements associated with Tengku Zatashah’s personal essence and symbolism.

Dragon in Clouds. Explores the balance between power and serenity through layered movement and soft transitions. The kind of motif that reads differently at ten feet and ten centimetres — bold at a distance, intricate up close.

Botanika. Translates organic botanical forms into refined batik compositions. Quietly feminine and precise, with detail that lives in the restraint — how much the design suggests without stating.

Together, these motifs form a narrative of modern womanhood that is resilient and effortlessly elegant.
