Founded in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Kapten Batik was established in March 2017 with a vision to redefine batik for the modern gentleman. Taking a fresh and tailored approach to men's fashion, Kapten Batik set out to create batik apparel that is versatile, contemporary, and effortless to wear.

Rather than limiting batik to formal occasions, we believe batik should be part of everyday life. Our designs are created to move seamlessly through different moments of the day whether you're attending a casual gathering, relaxing by the pool, enjoying a weekend lunch, or heading out for an evening with friends.

By blending traditional batik artistry with modern silhouettes and comfortable fabrics, Kapten Batik offers a collection that is stylish, accessible, and suitable for any occasion. It is batik reimagined for everyday wear timeless in heritage, yet contemporary in spirit.

OUR PRODUCTS & BRANDS 

Having initially focused on classic slim fit men’s shirt, the range evolved to a complete modern and contemporary motive featuring from geometrical to floral theme. Mixing the classical and out of the norm colour, makes our batik shirt the most sought after in domestic market.

The idea was started when two young entrepreneurs, also a good friend who appreciate the art of batik trying to cultivate, preserve and nurture our batik tradition back to a modern and hectic lifestyle. As both of them travel extensively throughout Nusantara, more and more ideas come to reality and its where Kapten Batik was born.
